About
Dr Jack Ogden
MBChB, BSc, LLM, IBLM, MRCGP
I’m on a mission to help patients gain the best from their life by helping them feel healthier. I am a qualified GP, a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a Member of the British Association of Lifestyle Medicine. I am also certified by the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
I initially studied for a degree in Neuroscience before undertaking my medical training at the University of Bristol. On completing my training, I was awarded the Arthur L Rose Scholarship at the State University of New York before returning to the UK and working as a doctor at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. I have previously worked full time in both hospital and community based diabetes services. In addition to my private work, I am a partner in a busy NHS GP practice.
Outside of my clinical work, I have completed a masters degree in Medical Law which led me to work as an academic at the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute and Department of Medical Ethics at the University of Bristol, having been granted an award from the Wellcome Trust.
In my personal life I am passionate about living a healthy and active life with my young family. Exercise is important to me and I regularly run, mountain bike and road cycle. When I get time I also love to get into the mountains for some skiing or climbing.

BMBS FHEA Pg.Cert Clin.Ed
I qualified as a doctor in 2008 and have worked in multiple specialties including Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, Urology and Accident & Emergency. Early on in my career I knew I wanted to follow a career in General Practice and have enjoyed practicing as a qualified GP since 2013. I regularly teach trainee doctors and work as a partner in a busy NHS practice in Bristol. I enjoy offering a holistic approach to care and I’m a keen advocate of lifestyle medicine.
Outside work I enjoy drumming, mountain biking, skiing, motorsport, photography and a good book.
