Minor Surgery Clinic in Bristol
Minor Surgery
What We Treat
As a Lagom Clinic patient, you can avoid the need to visit a hospital for your minor surgery needs. Simple and more complex procedures are conducted by our in-house surgeon, Mr. Alex Trevatt, an experienced plastic surgeon who also works at Southmead Hospital or Dr Jack Ogden who has also undertook training in surgery in various NHS hospitals. We aim to provide specialist care within a private and comfortable setting by doctors and surgeons who care.
The advantage of having an in house plastic surgeon is that we can perform more complex procedures with better outcomes. Mr Trevatt will perform all complex procedures and in particular those on the face where the aesthetic outcome is particularly important.

Lipomas
A lipoma is a benign, soft, and slow-growing fatty lump that forms under the skin. Typically found on the neck, shoulders, back, or arms, lipomas are non-cancerous and generally painless. However, they can become uncomfortable or cosmetically concerning, making professional assessment and removal by a surgeon an option.
Sebaceous cyst
A sebaceous cyst is a common, benign lump that forms under the skin, usually on the face, neck, or torso. It occurs when sebaceous glands become blocked, leading to a buildup of sebum. Although typically harmless, sebaceous cysts can become painful or infected, making professional removal by a private GP advisable.
Moles
A mole is a common, usually harmless, skin growth that can appear anywhere on the body. Moles vary in size, shape, and color, typically being brown or black. While most moles are benign, changes in their appearance can be a sign of skin cancer, making regular checks and assessment by a private GP essential for your health.
Seborrhoeic keratoses
Seborrheic keratosis is a common, non-cancerous skin growth that appears as a brown, black, or pale wart-like patch. These growths typically develop on the face, chest, shoulders, or back and are more common with age. While seborrheic keratosis is harmless, removal by a private GP may be desired for cosmetic reasons or comfort.
Skin tags
A skin tag is a small, benign growth that typically forms in areas where the skin folds, such as the neck, armpits, or groin. These soft, flesh-colored bumps are harmless but can be bothersome or unsightly. Removal by a private GP is a quick and simple procedure, often done for comfort or cosmetic reasons.
